As a Property Custodian, Steward Contact or designee, you are part of the NOAA personal property team who manage the acquisition, utilization, and disposal of over $5+ billion of personal property for NOAA. Since the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act of 1949, there have been a series of laws and regulations enacted which direct NOAA to exercise positive control over these resources. NOAA is routinely audited to demonstrate that the appropriate controls have been put in place and are working to ensure property accountability.
